In recent years, boosted by a wealth of scientific evidence, mindfulness meditation has enjoyed rapid elevation into the mainstream. Recommended by the UK's National Health Service (NHS) to alleviate stress, anxiety and mild depression, this ancient practice (with huge contemporary relevance), is well known for its ability to improve our physical and mental wellbeing.
Following our popular mindfulness courses at our local Chelmsford based studio, Yoga at the Mill, we now offer highly regarded mindfulness-based weekend retreats, running over a three-night long weekend. Schedules are more intensive than traditional yoga retreats, though we are careful to allow plenty of free time, and space for you to enjoy doing less, 'being' more.

Our luxury retreat venue consists of beautifully converted barns, situated in the heart of rural south Norfolk. All ten luxury bedrooms are en-suite, set around the central courtyard. Single occupancy of a double room is a popular option, though the rooms can also configured as twin, with one triple.
The long weekend blends a schedule of accessible mindfulness meditation practices with super-gentle, soft, practices drawn from the yoga tradition. Our intention is for complete beginners to be familiar with a wide repertoire of mindfulness practices by the end of the three days, and for those with an existing practice to have enjoyed a refresher. We also hope the long weekend will be a golden opportunity to rest deeply, step away from demands, and drop down a few gears.
