Our Marrakech Wellbeing Weekend exceeded all expectations. The Riad was perfect - a wonderful atmosphere for yoga. 'Having spent time looking for a relaxed holiday suitable for a solo traveller, I couldn't be happier that I picked the Croatian retreat. The villa was beautiful and the other guests (of all ages and abilities) were welcoming and friendly. We were all wonderfully looked after - not least in terms of the plentiful and delicious vegetarian food! Some great walks, exploring parts of the island we wouldn't have found on our own, were arranged for us so we didn't have to worry about anything except turning up with the right footwear. The daily yoga sessions were rejuvenating in the mornings, setting us up for the day, and relaxing and meditative in the evenings, ready for dinner and wine or simply a nap by the pool. I liked the teacher's encouraging approach, helping us all go further in our practice, no matter how experienced or new to yoga we were. I've recommended Satvada to friends and am already planning my next holiday with them. I know I'll be well looked after and come home feeling refreshed and with a new enthusiasm for my yoga classes.

Morocco retreat
Having looked at several yoga retreats, we took 'pot luck' when we booked with Satvada. We couldn't have been luckier - the retreat in Croatia was perfect. Yoga sessions were tailored to suit the experience and ability of all the guests, providing both challenge and relaxation. In spite of not really being 'into' meditation I found these sessions appealing. The silent walk along the coast was delightful; a totally new and enjoyable experience. The venue - a beautiful villa close to the beach - was idyllic; the view from the yoga terrace (of flowers, sea and mountains) provided a stunning backdrop. All our needs were catered for - especially at meal times: local produce, from a garden adjacent to the villa, cooked to perfection. Walks were led by friendly guides; the pool and beach, together with the company of other guests, ensured a memorable holiday. It was all over much too soon!

If you are looking for the perfect yoga break, Satvada's Croatian retreat fits the bill. Yoga and meditation twice a day just metres from the beach, in a glorious,peaceful setting. Daily walks through the olive groves - along the picturesque coastline or in the hills to the monastery - offer the opportunity to discover the beauty of the Island and the friendliness of the people. The villa is lovely and several rooms have a wonderful sea view. The food is a mouthwatering vegetarian gourmet treat! You will never be hungry! We loved it so much, we've booked another break with Satvada.

Marrakech Wellbeing Weekend
Just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for a lovely Wellbeing Weekend in Marrakech. I got so much out of my time there and met some wonderful people. Since returning home, i have kept up my practice and find meditation so much easier to accomplish, which was one of my aims of the weekend. The hosts at the Marrakech Riad were so welcoming and accommodating, and each meal was fresh, delicious and authentic; the experience was as if eating at someone's house; a real privilege.

I just wanted to write to thank you for a lovely weekend in Suffolk, and also for the lift to the train station. I really feel like I have learned a lot from the past couple of days - from both the yoga and mindfulness classes, and from the other people on retreat. It was also really great to allow myself some time to go for a run, and the massages were wonderful!

I can't recommend Satvada enough for the first-time yoga retreater! All my fears about being too inexperienced at yoga to go on a retreat were instantly allayed in the first class. Lucia's teaching style is wonderfully personal so that everybody in the class is looked after and encouraged individually. I felt a deeper connection with my practice developing over the course of the retreat that has left me with more commitment to and enthusiasm for yoga-a great boost for the novice student! Lucia's experience, knowledge and attitude were truly inspiring. The evening meditation sessions were relaxing and energising but also gave us an insight into the benefits of integrating yoga and meditation into daily life to reduce stress and increase wellbeing. All this was accompanied by huge doses of laughter, a great mix of people, delicious food, a stunning Riad and the beauty and hospitality of Morocco. I can't wait for the next one.

had a great time on retreat by the Moroccan seaside - the yoga was a perfect balance between challenge and consolidation, and I can feel my core muscles and arm muscles in particular have strengthened. Even with my back and hips being quite delicate, having had physio before I went to Morocco, I was able to achieve so much during the yoga sessions. Lucia concentrates on us all adopting the right posture, which works to support and enhance our core strength and not cause any damage. She nurtured us to achieve as much as possible in a way that was 'right' for us. I found the teaching so professional and thorough - Lucia gave us all confidence and I found myself achieving things I would never have expected to be possible. Yoga on the roof in the sun in the mornings, and the restorative yoga in the evenings made for such a beautiful experience! Outside of the yoga, there was so much to do around and about: camel or horse riding, tennis, massage or beauty treatments, walking along miles of beach, and exploring off-the-beaten track, plus discovering nearby Essaouira, resting by the pool or on the balcony, and generally breathing in the lovely environment of the Riad - all this made for a marvellous holiday. And the staff could not have been more charming, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and healthy. I could go on and on as I had such a wonderful time - Morocco, the venue by the sea, the yoga, the people; it all surpassed my best expectations and I'm already saving for next year, when I will tag on some additional days!

France - stunning farm house
The retreat in France with Satvada was perfect. Delicious vegan food prepared on site, wonderful accommodation in an old farmhouse surrounded by beautiful grounds with a swimming pool and yoga twice a day. Warm weather allowed us to practice outside with just the sounds of the birds. Afternoon sessions took the form of restorative yoga and mindfulness meditation, and were a lovely balance to the dynamic morning sessions. All were suited to any level of experience. The surrounding countryside is steeped in history and to my delight, there was a bicycle I was able to use. A thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing break with like-minded people - plenty of laughter, but me-space too!

I have attended Satvada's summer retreat in South West France twice now; each time in a beautiful setting in the middle of peaceful countryside. I cannot express how relaxing and nuturing the entire experience is, something I'm dreaming of throughout these cold winter nights! The atmosphere created by Lucia and co is so laid-back and there's lots of time for lounging around in between the meditation and yoga. Great food, great company and great feeling after the week of calm.

I thought I would write to you to say what an amazing weekend I have just had. I can't tell you how different I feel; it's hard to explain, but I live a busy life and really struggle to relax and let go of everyday worries. This weekend, I let go of everything. I can even say that I am ready to make some changes in my life and start to slow things down, and take time out - even if it's only for 10 minutes a day, as you recommend. I even found myself saying to my husband how much he would love it, and how good it would be for his mental attitude and busy lifestyle!

Thank you for a wonderfully restorative weekend at Potash Barns, Suffolk. It is rare to find a package that m ore than lives up to its promotional description. Before we arrived we were a little concerned about our suitability for the classes, both in terms of experience and personal fitness. However, we were immediately reassured by the small class s. We also really enjoyed the accommodation, our own private lounge, friendly hosts and the walks in lovely peaceful surroundings of the Suffolk countryside. The food did not disappoint and was another highlight. I was impressed by the lengths taken by the hosts to accommodate all the dietary requirements and we loved the great variety of vegetarian dishes; also, time spent just chatting. I am already looking forward to the next weekend.
